18m
This episode will introduce Montreal-based musician, BAYLA, and outline how she started as an artist, to where she is now and where she hopes to be in the future. This episode will also detail how she grew up with vocal cord problems, how YouTube kick-started her career and how she found her band/team and what their biggest accomplishments are together. “When Brittany Kasich was a child, she was told she would never be able to sing. Proving doctors wrong, she pushed through her vocal cord dysfunction and gained attention from music lovers and industry professionals when she posted her song, "Breathe", which went viral on YouTube. What makes this young woman's songs stand apart, is the striking fact that she writes them - the words and the music - and she has been at it since she was fourteen. Since posting her first song on YouTube, Brittany Kwasnik signed a record deal with Montreal's Justin-Time Records, and has been performing frequently in cities across Canada and in the United States. CTV's Canada AM, CBC National News, and Newspapers across Canada have also featured her music, live performances, and her inspirational story that sends a powerful message - to never give up on something, even if you are told you won't succeed.
