This episode will introduce the three members of funky rock n’ roll band Das Blankout, from where they started, to where they are now and what they hope the band will have accomplished in the future.
Literally having started out playing in their basement or garage, Das Blankout have accomplished a lot, all independently, and their success shows that persistence, hard work, and honing your craft will pay off. Montreal-based band Das Blankout flaunts a punchy, rebellious rock n’ roll sound that is sure to have you bopping along to catchy song lyrics and swanky guitar riffs. Lead singer and guitarist Matt Burghardt charms the stage with a kind of bad-boy edge to his performance, an alluring complement to the smooth vocal quality in his voice. His sister Kim’s groovy basslines and backup harmonies are the perfect sidekick to Matt’s vocals, while drummer Pat Bilodeau completes the trio, offering up technical, spirited drum beats. Das Blankout has come a long way since teaming up in 2012, already having released a full-length album titled “Everything Diamonds” as well as their first music video, and embarking on their very first tour in the fall of 2014. They’re currently preparing for the release of a sophomore EP and a tour for fall 2015.
